In 2017, MTN Cameroon won the prize of Best Subsidiary of the West and Central African region for the second consecutive year in a row after the 11th edition of the benevolent programme dubbed 21 Days of Y’ello Care.

The accolade was awarded by the MTN Group in recognition of the quality of the projects initiated and deployed by volunteers of Cameroon, from 1st to 21st June 2017 under the theme “Investing in Education for All”. During these 21 days of social engagement, MTN Cameroon employees constructed and equipped a science lab at Government Bilingual High School, Bobongo-Petit-Paris in Douala. This school was ranked the best in the Littoral region at the classification by the Baccalauréat Board in 2016.

In addition to the construction of the science lab at Government Bilingual High School, Bobongo, MTN Cameroon staff realized other projects within the framework of the 21 Days of Y’ello Care, this year, notably:

  • Digitalization of courses media of the University of Bamenda
